Welcome to the build of Star Wars Death Star II & Star Destroyer from the Bandai kit 5063852 scales 1:2700000 (Death Star) and 1:14500 (Star Destroyer).
This is the new box from 2015, special edition. Yo can see the box here and all the parts.

As usual I started cleaning the parts in soapy water to remove any trace of oil or silicone. Then I proceeded with a spray primer light grey.
I did not follow the instructions for the general colors and I chose to use basically a light grey for the destroyer and white for the death star. All the recessed parts are painted with dark grey.

I started with the small assembly of little parts. Considering that there were not so many pieces it was simple, then I moved on the big assemblies.

I was not happy about the lower base of the internal of the Death Star, that was with a clear empty space and flat surfaces, so I added few details made with abs and plasticard, plus some spares from other builds.

I painted the internal with a dark grey, with all the recessed sections still in construction, then I masked all and applied a coat of white to the external.

A little drybrushing with a lighter tone of grey, few spots in red and white to simulate lights, and then a coat of gloss transparent.
After a very light weathering, the Death Star is finally ready!
Back to the Star destroyer, I assembled everything and painted the recessed parts and the main bridge and back sections with dark grey.

I painted in almost black the thrusters in the back and added first a very diluted white and after that a shade of light blue to simulate the reactors on.

Same treatment of the Death Star, coat of transparent gloss, then a very light weathering and the Star Destroyer is done.
Just a little touch of Matte Transparent layer for protection and the work is finished.
Hope you enjoyed the build.
